December 9 Tabu

Today in Tabu we conducted clinic in the Roman Catholic Church building.  t was a large open air facility which made for a very pleasant stay. We understood that a few doctors came through from Samaritan's Purse a week ago or so and they had seen 40 persons. Many in this barangay spoke English so it made communication easier.

The immunization side saw 60 while the medical team saw 97.  None were in critical condition.  Dental saw 21 patients removing 45 teeth.

Because the medical side finished well before dental and there were two vehicles, one group went home early but the second group got lost on the way back resulting in some anxiety on those already back at base camp.

It was also learned today that Filipinos (both our patients and local volunteers) expect a 12 PM lunch break and so we will be managing the flow in a way to accommodate this need in the days ahead.

Please keep praying for the Filipinos and for those ministering to them.
